Lotus Empowerment Center recognizes the pressures and opportunities that men face in today’s society. Hence, we are also committed to implementing programming that caters to the interests and concerns of males that support our work. Our ultimate goal is to build Centers designed to promote the development of healthy men, husbands, fathers, workers, and neighbors, by providing individual and collective supports in a world that at times can feel unsupportive or unsympathetic to men. Yet, we also have plans to engage and explore male members in (a) raising awareness and understanding around not only themselves, but also (b) children, and (c) women with the aim of building advocates in the protection of their own and others’ rights and opportunities, when genders in practice are not always “equal”.
